The practice caters for the needs of vulnerable adults in the following ways:
- We have a nominated GP who leads on our Safeguarding Adults strategy
- Special consideration is given to patients with severe hearing problems so that a face-to-face appointment can be pre-booked as a telephone consultation is not appropriate
- The practice maintains a Learning Disability register which is reviewed annually by our Safeguarding Adults lead GP
- An Interview Room is available should patients wish to discuss their issues in private rather than at reception
- The practice works closely with the translation services provider to ensure that vulnerable non-English speaking patients get the healthcare they require
- Our flexible appointment system allows vulnerable adults to have longer appointments
