IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PATIENTS
SURGERY CLOSURE DUE TO GP TRAINING ON THE FOLLOWING DATES :-
THE LOCAL NHS HAVE ARRANGED FOR THE DOCTORS TO ATTEND TRAINING. THEREFORE THE PRACTICE WILL BE CLOSED FROM 12.30.P.M. ON THAT DAY UNTIL IT RE-OPENS AS USUAL ON THE FOLLOWING MORNING. PATIENTS CAN TELEPHONE 111 IF THEY NEED TO SPEAK TO A HEALTH PROFESSIONAL WHILE THE SURGERY IS CLOSED.
Repeat Prescriptions are authorised for patients on long term medication. Please note that patients cannot request contraception as a repeat prescription, an appointment is needed with the Doctor.

Prescriptions will usually be ready within 2 full working days.
If a stamped addressed envelope is provided we will post the prescription (so as to avoid running out of medication please allow time for postal delays!).
The NHS Electronic Prescription Service should make the collection of repeat prescriptions easier and more convenient for patients.
Patients are given the option to nominate the pharmacy of their choice for collection of and / or delivery of their medication.Patients must do this in order to take part in the service.
This service is designed to save you a trip to the practice to collect your prescription form. Please speak to the pharmacy of your choice to register for this.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
From 1 April 2015, the charges are:
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC. The charge for a single prescription item is £8.20, whereas a three month PPC will cost you £29.10 and a 12 month PPC £104.00.
